Kathryn is former journalist, fundraiser, Legislative Policy Analyst and later the youngest appointee to the Executive Leadership team of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. After serving as the Director of Corporate Relations for almost 10 years at Juvenile Services Program, Inc. a non-profit organization dedicated to at-risk and foster care youth, she founded KathrynCox.com in 2010 and has been working as a consultant for clients to strategically re-engineer their businesses in New York City. She is most well known in Manhattan for her work with Ferrari, Maserati and luxury brand innovation centered partnerships.
Kathryn has experience as Co-Producer for Tedx TampaBay, assistant to Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, Behaviorial Economist Dan Ariely, CEO of Saatchi and Saatchi Kevin Roberts, Fmr. Mayor Rudy Guiliani and White House Advisor David Gergen with HSM Global at functions such as the World Business Forum New York and Milan, World Innovation Forum New York and ExpoManagement Madrid business seminar series. In 2015, Kathryn was retained as CMO for Techonomy Media, a Forbes syndicated media company on their Tech-Policy event on the Confluence of Government in Tech in Washington, D.C.
Earlier in her career, Kathryn served as an intern in the Florida House of Representatives and has been recognized on the Floor of the Florida House. Kathryn who was accepted to University of Chicago at 13 years of age, turned down the Ivy to pursue a military preparatory education at Admiral Farragut Academy. There she received nomination to US Naval Academy by Congressman CW Bill Young. At 16, she left the institution early to take the next step as a collegiate physics teaching assistant, and received a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Physics from Eckerd College and later a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Applied Technology from the University of South Florida. Fluent in German, Kathryn has studied in London, as well as Peacekeeping, Anti-terrorism and Human Rights at the United Nations. By 18, she had climbed into the driver’s seat of a small business with 250 employees, and $2.5M to steward in State contracts. At 22, the helm of a public department of 5,000 and $50M.
In 2009, she served as a participant in the 18th International Conference on Health and the Environment: Global Partners for Global Solutions at the United Nations and presented Concept Paper to the FL Senate Criminal and Civil Justice Committee. In spring of 2010, she participated in the Massachusetts Governor’s Roundtable for Persons with Disabilities and received a Volunteer Service Award from President Obama. In 2013 she lead a team of of young women to win in the Intel powered Girl Up initiative competition through the United Nations Foundation. Her pastimes give light to her creative spirit and ambition; Kathryn is an accomplished international equestrian competitor, pianist, and student pilot.
